Valerna’s comment was innocent on the surface level, but Niazmina had understood what had been implied. Those metallic orbs would look to where the arachnid was staring, only to behold Tahira; a fellow inquisitor and her superior. A feeling of fear coursed over the caramel woman. What would the mer do if she knew that the canine intended on bedding the enemy? The jackal made a mental note to greet her later on their way out, pushing down any nervousness. The giantess' display of the ability to change size caught the bader'kerkhan off guard. The surprise was written on her face, for she had never seen anything like it. One could surmise that Valerna could grow larger as well, considering her previous height. Trailing behind the spider, Niazmina would also take in the sight of the brilliant city until Valerna turned to address them once more. A smile lit up the enforcer’s face. "As short as it was, I enjoyed your company as well. I will take my leave now. And of course, Queen Valerna. Should time permit, I shall return tonight to discuss things further. " That final line confirming what the two already knew would be quite the experience should it come to fruition. Extending a final bow, she'd turn to leave, leading the vulpine out with her once she too had paid her respects. The foreign sovereign would be left alone with her thoughts. As Niazmina’s boots clicked against the stone floor, she would ruminate over this encounter. Even if she did not return here tonight, this meeting had forever changed her resolve. Though she was still loyal to the Sands, their so-called enemy had puzzled the inquisitor. They weren’t the savages the bader’kerkhan had expected and had displayed courtesy unlike any other. The Verdant Dynasty’s culture was alien to her, but it was not barbaric contrary to popular belief. The puzzles brought with such revelations were things that Niazmina would solve through time and an open mind. Her silver lanterns would trail to the feathered headdress her daughter now wore as a skirt. Perna had caused much trouble today and this mother would not allow any more mistakes to happen from now on. This former street urchin was now her daughter, and would display the manner and discipline suited for a child of an eternal house member. Her eyes deviated from the child to the behemoth of an elf they were nearing. Niazmina did not trust her daughter to not stir up more trouble just yet, so the jackal made the decision that Perna should wait by the palace doors whilst the two inquisitors conversed. “Perna, wait for me outside, okay?” She’d remove her inquisitor badge and hand it to the kitsune. Though many people had seen her arrive with the carriage, it was a safety measurement should anyone question the child about her reason for being here. “If anyone asks about why you are here, just show them this and tell them that your mother is here on business.” Should Perna depart, the jackal would stride towards Tahira who had presumably been watching them since their arrival at the palace, or at least most of it. Though Niazmina was not short by any means, next to this vampire, she appeared very small. “Lady Tahira.” The canine greeted the noble, extending a salaam. She kept up the innocent act as though she had not been discreetly flirting with Queen Valerna moments prior. The consequences for such an act would most likely be devastating. "What brings you here?" The jackal inquired as her ashen orbs stared up at those multi-color gems.

The dawn had been forebodingly quiet. Like the calm before the storm. As the twin sols began to peak over the horizon and the city began to stir from its slumber, a lone inquisitor stared out the lattice window of an inn, a scowl blemishing her winsome face. Niazmina, much to her chagrin, had been assigned with the ever important job of being the chaperone for the queen of the Verdant Dynasty who had come to the Sands for diplomatic reasons. Ironic, given what they had done here prior. The previous invasion that had occurred not too long ago left a bad taste in her mouth. The jackal had been at a faraway outpost during the attack, but the aftermath that she had borne witness to cemented the fact that the people of the Verdant Dynasty were indeed savages. They had successfully laid siege to all the towns, hamlets, and cities, leaving a bloodbath in their wake, but had been repelled at Nirvana, a testimony to the true might of the Lioness of the Sands; Queen Samara. If there had been any flicker of uncertainty in this inquisitor concerning the Eternal House, it was now long gone. Niazmina had arrived at this former capital late last night for the task with Perna in tow. The inquisitor couldn't just leave the child all alone back in Nirvana for days after all. The jackal couldn’t help but reminisce about when she used to reside in this city. With a sigh, she made her way away from the window. She would give the blonde the option to stay here at the inn while she went about her task. As long as the kitsune didn’t interrupt her work, she could feel free to do anything, be it following her or wandering the city with the allowance the jackal had given her to buy food should she get hungry. As the binary suns began climbing higher and higher into the sky, the inquisitor made her final preparations. Slinging her rifle on her shoulder and the scimitar attached to the belt at her side, thrall in tow, Niazmina exited the inn and made her way to where she would be meeting the foreign leader; at the main southern gate that led into the walled area of the city. The inquisitor had arrived earlier than the agreed time, and as Niazmina waited for the Giantess, her eyes would wander. The areas on either side of the gate were vastly different. One was a squatter town full of the impoverished with a small buzz of activity. The bleak stone buildings paled in contrast to the other side which was full of vibrant colors from the many fabrics and the pleasant smell of spices. The Bazaar was full of the bustling of people as merchants shouted their prices from their carts or rugs and customers attempted to haggle prices reached her ears, a small amount of amusement to pass the time.
